New Contract with Norwegian Home Guard
Maritime Partner signs contract for three Alusafe 1300 Mk II with the Norwegian Navy on behalf of the Naval Home Guard.
The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (FLO/SJØ) has awarded a contract to build three multipurpose patrol craft for the Naval Home Guard to Maritime Partner As. The craft is a new development based on the experience with the Alusafe 1290 Combat built for another branch of the Norwegian Navy. The craft will be delivered early 2003.
The new Alusafe 1300 is a craft built to be operated with 2 to 4 crew and can carry 10 troops. The craft is configured to do boarding duties, patrol duties and other operations within the scope of the Naval Home Guard.
The Alusafe 1300 have two Volvo engines each developing 450 HP, driving Kamewa waterjets. The craft is designed to a top speed of 40 knots. The craft is equipped with state of the art equipment in communication and navigation.
With this contract Maritime Partner has strengthen its position as a leader of supplying high-speed patrol craft for military and governmental agencies. The Alusafe 1300 is a versatile design that can be adopted to numerous uses, as well as customised to any specific task.
