The Defence Minister names new vessel for the Norwegian Naval Home Guard

In a ceremony in Alesund the Norwegian Defence Minister Kristin Krohn Devold names the latest addition to the Royal Norwegian Navy SHV 104 Kvitsoy.

In an evening ceremony two new vessels for the Norwegian Home Guard was named in Alesund harbour. The two vessels of Alusafe 1300 Mk II design was given their names by the two godmothers Kristin Krohn Devold and Inger Tangen. The vessels was named SHV 104 Kvitsøy and SHV 105 Slåtterøy.

After delivery the two new vessels will be stationed in Stavanger and Bergen. The third vessel in the series will be delivered later this winter and will be stationed in Trondheim.
