A ’Hotrod’ of a boat

After 40 years of service Bergen Fire Brigade is pensioning off its fireboat Sjøsprøyte II. The old vessel will be replaced by specially built boat, to be delivered by Maritime Partner.

”We feel that the the agreement we have made represents maximum value for money,” says Trine Sivertsen Sommerlade, communications manager for Bergen Fire Brigade.
”The boat we will get combines firefighting and rescue in a fantastic way. In addition it will be hotrod of a craft, with a top speed of 32 knots,” says Sommerlade to the newspaper.
