New contract to the Norwegian Coastal Adminstration (NCA)
Maritime Partner AS signs contract with The Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA), for the delivery of two new work vessels. One with the type designation Alusafe 1300 L and one Alusafe 1500 MPV. The total framework of the contract is approximately 14 million NOK.
Coastal Director Kirsti Slotsvik formally signed the contract at the offices of NCA in Aalesund, on Friday morning. Sales and marketing director of Maritime Partner, Gisle Anderssen, signed the contract on behalf of Maritime Partner.
-“We are very pleased to have won this assignment. Maritime Partner has previously won contract biddings for NCA, and we are proud to come out on top, in yet another round,” says Anderssen.
An equivalent vessel to the larger of the boats, the Alusafe 1500 MPV, was delivered this summer to The Port Authority of Aalesund. This vessel has been a huge success, and has been employed in a number of different operations. It has also undertaken a sea crossing to England, to be displayed at the SeaWorks Exhibition, and demonstrated to international costumers.
It became quite evident that this vessel was well suited for NCA needs and demands. This vessel will be operating in the Bergen region, and will be operating in somewhat calmer waters than the Alusafe 1300 L.
- “The slightly smaller Alusafe 1300 L is to be put into operation along the coast of Troms and Finnmark County, which calls for a design with a high degree of seaworthiness, and well suited to operate in both open and coastal waters. This has been an important factor, when choosing the correct design for this vessel,” says Area Sales Manager of Maritime Partner, Rune Midtkandal.
-“The chosen design has previously been utilized in both patrol and offshore operations, and all experience shows that this model is well suited for operations in almost any weather conditions along the Norwegian coastline,” he adds
In the event of a potential accident, both vessels are equipped to assist with oil-pollution services along the coast.
-“This contract demonstrates that Maritime Partner AS deliver strongly competitive vessels, both to Norwegian and international clients, and our focus on standardization and short delivery times are giving clear results,” ends Gisle Andersen.
