NEW WORK/DIVING BOAT FOR AQS

Maritime Partner has signed a newbuild contract with AQS in Flatanger for delivery of a work/diving catamaran.

The ALUSAFE CAT 21, belongs to a model range which has several configurations and the vessel type has already proven its excellent seaworthiness. The hull has efficient, modern lines with low resistance which reduces the power requirement on the machinery and thus reduces emissions. This variant customised to the customer's needs in diving, Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV), and cleaning/maintenance of fish farms at location along the coastline of Norway. The vessel has four crew, with onboard living quarters, and have a maximum speed of 26 knots. The vessel is made in close collaboration with the AQS, Lindstøl Skip Design and will be built and outfitted at Maritime Partner's facility in Aalesund.

AQS AS is one of the largest and leading maritime contractors in Norway. They are specialists in aquaculture, but also perform all types of service and diving operations. With 15 service vessels, as well as four on order, they have a modern and diverse fleet at their disposal.

AQS focuses on sustainability, and as part of this, a 368 kWh battery bank is installed in the vessel. This allows for zero emissions during normal operations at the work locations.
