PRESTIGIOUS CONTRACT WITH NORWEGAIN DEFECE MATERIAL AGENCY

Maritime Partner consolidates its position as leading supplier of patrol boats to the Norwegian Coast Guard. The contract with Norwegian Defence Material Agency relate to delivery of 5 boats of the type "SJØBJØRN 38", which will replace the existing boats on board the “Nornen Class” for the Norwegian Coast Guard.

The boat type is a completely new concept developed in close dialogue between Maritime Partner and the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency. The model and design has been named "SJØBJØRN 38". Important criteria for the new boat were, among other things, were a solid working platform for all the various tasks to be carried out and that the boats would fit into the existing structure of the ships.

Prestigious Contract

"As we all know, the Norwegian Armed Forces have very important tasks to be carried out and place high demands on quality and safety of the equipment in use. We are happy to have renewed trust and to be chosen as supplier of yet another type of patrol boat. The contract for the delivery of the boats states that three of these will be delivered in 2025 and two in 2026. "This helps to maintain good activity at Maritime Partner forward," says Henrik Myklebust, Vice President Sales at Maritime Partner.

The boat carries on many of the features of the smaller SJØBJØRN 23 and SJØBJØRN 25, which today are the first choice of patrol boats onboard the vast majority of ships for the Norwegian Navy. The "SJØBJØRN 38 will be a very exciting and important addition of patrol boats for Maritime Partner. The boat model helps to expand our portfolio of patrol boats for the military market. It will be an excellent alternative for NATO countries that require a boat of this size," adds Henrik Myklebust, Vice President Sales at Maritime Partner.
